Tuesday morning. I hopped on the SIM8 and it honestly was a decent ride. The fare machine was broken but that doesn’t do anything for me–I buy unlimited weekly metro cards–but the bus was grateful (and packed).
The girl in the front row had her bag in the aisle seat. What did I say about the rules?! I asked her to kindly move her bag and I took the last available seat.
The driver continued to pull over at the last few stops with crowds of people. He opened the door, told them the bus is full, closed the door and drove off. SAVAGE!
7:12 We were in line headed toward the tunnel and I’m not gonna lie, I was nervous. Didn’t want a repeat of yesterday!
7:22 Made good time. Midtown is as crowded as ever! I made my way to the train and zoom-zoom I was at McDonalds.
I got nudged while waiting for my breakfast and almost swung. It was my long-lost friend I worked with years ago. Oddly enough, he works down the block. #ChessMft (Never quite understood that.) I told him he almost caught these hands. Plus, I had my headphones in and was too focused on learning the words to Famous. #CarterV
BTW–I have been listening to Weezy’s album on repeat since it dropped and I am impressed!
I finally got my pancakes and headed to the office. I forgot how good their pancakes were!
1:00 I took my standard stroll around the building a few times and came across Mr. Red Suit blasting old school music as he strutted down 34th.
After my third lap around the neighborhood, I made it to my juggle class. Again, no video updates but I did succeed in walking while juggling. Now I am trying to juggle two in each hand at the same time. It’s hard to explain and when I actually get it, I will post.
Stayed an hour later today because I LOVE THIS JOB SO MUCH! No, that’s not sarcasm. I legit love my job! For those of you who don’t know what I do, I’m like a risk finder! I analyze financial statements to make sure we can lend to a business. It’s pretty interesting to learn about different business structures. And there’s way more involved in what I do, but for the most part, I’m like the risk police.
Anyway, I caught the 6:16 train and got a glimpse of a man wearing shorts that left little to the imagination.
No one seemed interested, but after the “no more business casual” dress code talk at work, it seemed relevant.
BELOW THE KNEE, BUDDY!
I got semi-confused once I left the train station.
RANT: First, there’s like 300 exits from the train platform. If you use the exit right next to another one, you will end up on the other side of a whole avenue! I made the mistake and got all flustered looking for the line of people at my bus stop who I grew far too familiar with. Rest assured, I found them….ten minutes later. END RANT.
All-in-all: I had a great day. And my juggling set came in! What a day!
Stay tuned for more
